Effective September 15, 2026 · Applies to brand.welcometomountaincity.com

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the America's Mountain City™ Brand Guide at brand.welcometomountaincity.com (the "Site"), operated by Visit Salt Lake ("Visit Salt Lake," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy, and, for any brand assets you download, to the Asset License Terms.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

If you use the Site on behalf of a company, agency, media outlet, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" includes that organization.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a revision is posted means you accept it.

2. About the Site

The Site is the brand platform guide for America's Mountain City™, Visit Salt Lake's destination brand for Salt Lake, Utah. It exists to help Visit Salt Lake staff, destination partners, agencies, media, and other authorized collaborators understand and apply the brand consistently.

The Site is a reference resource. Nothing on it is an offer, contract, or commitment to provide goods, services, sponsorship, funding, or any other benefit.

3. Intellectual property

The Site and everything on it, including text, positioning and messaging, graphics, logos and lockups, photography, film, typefaces, color systems, page design, and underlying code (together, "Content"), are owned by Visit Salt Lake or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by the Asset License Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, display, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise use the Content without our prior written permission.

You may view the Site and print or save individual pages for your own internal reference in connection with promoting Salt Lake and Visit Salt Lake.

Photography and film on the Site are protected by copyright and may feature people, locations, or property under releases granted to Visit Salt Lake for its promotional purposes. Use outside the scope of the Asset License Terms is not authorized.

4. Trademarks

America's Mountain City™, the Visit Salt Lake name and logos, and the associated lockups and brand marks are trademarks of Visit Salt Lake. Other names and marks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners.

You may use Visit Salt Lake's marks only as expressly permitted in the brand guide and the Asset License Terms, and never in a way that suggests a sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation that does not exist, or that alters, shortens, or modifies the marks.

5. Brand asset downloads

Certain Content, including logos, brand kit bundles, photography, film, and templates ("Brand Assets"), is made available for download. Every download is subject to the Asset License Terms, which you must review and accept in the download dialog before each download.

Some Brand Assets are restricted. The brand typefaces (Saans and Ivar Display) are licensed to Visit Salt Lake by third parties and may be downloaded only by Visit Salt Lake staff; partners and agencies must obtain their own license from the respective type foundries. Some photography is licensed for digital use only.

When you accept a license you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information (your name, organization, and work email). Providing false information, or using another person's or organization's identity, is a breach of these Terms and voids any license granted.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Third-party services and links

The Site links to third-party websites (such as social media platforms) and relies on third-party services to operate, including hosting providers and content delivery networks. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, practices, or availability. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on the Site, including the details you provide when you accept an Asset License, how we use it, and the choices you have.

9. Availability and changes to the Site

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, or update brand guidance, assets, and requirements, at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available without interruption or error, and we are not obligated to maintain or support any Content.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. VISIT SALT LAKE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE OR CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VISIT SALT LAKE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE OR CONTENT WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Visit Salt Lake and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or the Asset License Terms, your use of the Site or Content, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, and revoke any license to Brand Assets, at any time and for any reason, including a breach of these Terms. Sections 3, 4, and 10 through 16 survive any termination.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Asset License Terms, are the entire agreement between you and Visit Salt Lake regarding the Site. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction. Headings are for convenience only.
